Plastic Surgeon in Bethesda, MD
Dr. Kasandra Dassoulas is a board-certified plastic surgeon whose practice focuses on breast and body surgery. This is not a general practice that does everything.
If you already know which procedure you are considering, start there below. If you do not, that is a normal place to begin — the first step is a low-pressure 15-minute call to work out which conversation you are actually having.

Where to start
Most People Arrive Considering One of These Three.
Dr. Dassoulas focuses on breast and body surgery. Whichever of these brought you here, the first step is the same conversation — and part of that conversation is whether surgery is the right answer at all.
Breast Augmentation
For women considering implants, including Motiva, or a change in shape rather than size. Whether an augmentation, a lift, or a combination is right for you is assessed in person.
Breast Reduction
Usually less about appearance than about a body that hurts by the middle of the afternoon — back pain, shoulder grooves, rashes that never quite heal.
Tummy Tuck
Loose skin and separated abdominal muscle after pregnancy or significant weight loss. A full tummy tuck addresses both; liposuction addresses neither.
Why this practice
What Makes This Practice Different
Breast and body, not everything
Dr. Dassoulas focuses her practice on breast and body procedures. A surgeon who performs a narrower range of operations performs each of them more often.
Muscle repair, not only skin removal
A full tummy tuck addresses two separate problems: excess skin, and abdominal muscles that have separated down the midline. Liposuction removes fat but does nothing for either. Whether your muscles need repair is assessed in person.
Combined into one recovery
Patients who want more than one area addressed can often have those procedures combined under a single anaesthetic, with one recovery instead of two.
Breast reduction and insurance
Breast reduction is the one procedure here that is sometimes covered. Coverage depends on your individual plan and its medical criteria, and is never guaranteed — but it is worth establishing early rather than assuming either way.

What People Ask Before They Call
What does surgery with Dr. Dassoulas cost?
Awaiting copy · Practice team
A price range, or a starting-from figure, for breast augmentation, breast reduction and tummy tuck — whatever you are comfortable publishing. Roughly a quarter of this account’s paid clicks come from people searching cost, price, "how much" or financing, and right now no page answers them, so they bounce and we pay for it either way. If publishing numbers is not something you want to do, say so and we will write an honest "what the quote depends on, and when you get one" answer instead — but that decision needs to be yours.
Is breast reduction covered by insurance?
Sometimes. Coverage depends on your individual plan and the medical criteria it applies, and it is never guaranteed. It is worth establishing early rather than assuming it either way, and the practice can tell you what the process of finding out looks like.
Is Dr. Dassoulas board-certified?
Yes. She completed a six-year integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Virginia and a microsurgery and aesthetic surgery fellowship at Mercy Medical Center.
What actually happens on the 15-minute call?
It is a conversation about what you are considering, not a medical evaluation and not a sales call. You will not be asked to commit to anything, and it is not a substitute for an in-person consultation with a surgeon.
I am not sure which procedure I need. Is that a problem?
No, and it is common. A lot of people arrive knowing they want something different without knowing the name for it. Working out which conversation you are actually having is part of what the first call is for.
